Sightings and Strandings
* According to the current understanding of distribution, Fin, Minke and Sei whales are not present in the Northern Indian ocean.
A live striped dolphin got beached at Miramar beach. TerraConcsious along with Forest Dept, Drishti Lifeguard and researchers reflected the dolphin and at first took it out to 4-5m of water. It had no signs of external injury, other than some bruises near the flipper and fluke probably from being washed ashore. The dolphin beached itself again on the same day. After that the Forest Dept took the dolphin further out to sea and released it. It did not beach again after that.
